What she thought
We already move. Wakeboard at dawn. Suppliers on the phone. Children in two lights. I did not want travel as content. I wanted travel as school — a way a family learns a city with their feet, then brings the proportion home.
I am not a tourist in my own geography. Greek girl in Dubai. The atlas on the About page is a biography. This chapter makes it a method.
An atlas you can walk.
- 01
Athina
Proportion, ritual, negative space. The city that taught me what to leave out.
- 02
The islands
Days without a clock. Salt. The curriculum of doing less.
- 03
Dubai
Where the work is chosen. Abundance without fear. The studio.
- 04
The Palm
A home that has to survive the voyage — air, sleep, water, return.
- 05
The return
What you bring back is the lesson. The suitcase is not the point.
Itineraries that are curricula. Athina for proportion and ritual. The islands for time that refuses a calendar. Dubai for the edit — what we keep when the world is too much. Hotel becomes a node. Clothing becomes what you pack. School comes along.
The map is folded. I am still walking it. When it can be handed over, I will unfold it.
The two cities
Athina and Dubai are already the spine of the life. The project is to teach the crossing.
The notes
I am writing how we actually move. No brochure. No package.
The first offered crossing
A voyage other families can take without becoming us.
Greek soul, global craft, edited in Dubai. The slogan was a voyage the whole time.
I will not sell a postcard of my childhood. I will share a method for moving as a family.
- 01How do you invite someone into a crossing without performing identity?
- 02What must a child remember of a city for the voyage to have worked?
