Meli wanted the lamp to climb the wall and give books their nightstand back — She chose this NOR Travertine Wall Lamp.
A yellow travertine shade with wood and a retro curve — Greek afternoon bent into dusk, so the last surface can hold a book.

The lamp to climb the wall and give books their nightstand back
NOR yellow travertine shade with wood and a retro curve, Greek afternoon bent into dusk at eye level
In an age of abundance, Meli does not hide from choice. She imagines an object, fusses until it feels like hers, then celebrates it in public — a curriculum you can pick up with your hands.
The nightstand was a battlefield: charger, glass, lamp, novel, earrings. She wanted wind-down designed, not stacked. Abundance of stuff is not the same as a ritual. The lamp should leave.
Retro without novelty: travertine, wood, a curve that softens a hard Dubai bedroom line. She switched it on at ten and felt the day leave the room. That was the prototype that survived.
Celebrate.
Wind-down is worth designing. She celebrates stone at eye level that says the day is over. The nightstand can hold stories instead of hardware. Meaning is what you clear for sleep.
Move the light to the wall. Give the last surface of the day back to what you actually love.
